Since its inception in 1967,
Gulf Hotels Group has strived

in Bahrain and almost forty

The construction of the 2,200
seat Gulf Convention Centre
in 1997, proved GHG’s
commitment to the MICE market
and provided Bahrain with
a world class conference and
meeting facility.
In 2000, GHG established the
Gulf Hotels Management Company
to undertake the management
of hotels and catering operations
on behalf of investors. This
division has operated the
highly successful catering
facilities at Riffa Golf Club,
Bahrain’s only international
standard golf course from
2000 until the closure of
the course in September 2007..
In 2004, Gulf Hotels Group
undertook their first international
venture, managing the 100
room Ocean Paradise Resort,
Zanzibar, which has quickly
established itself as a major
force in the country’s
tourism industry.
Meeting new demands has always
been a challenge the Company
has faced positively and in
2006, GHG opened its first
luxury serviced apartments,
the Gulf Executive Residence.
